very good list. i have read a lot of good things about clicktale web analytics and i’m off to check what other goodies they offer. i’m amazed at this long article and never knew there were so many good analytics services out there. thanks for the good list of goodies. just one recommendation, it would be good to provide a link to clicktale.
I am really pleased with the services that ClickTale provides, especially being able to track my users’ paths through my site. By watching the recordings, I noticed right away that my visitors had to search all over the site before they found what they were looking for. The heatmap feature showed me that many people had to scroll all the way to the bottom before finding what they wanted. So I rearranged the contents based on my clients’ flow through the website and web pages. By giving people what they want on my site right away, I’ve been able to retain more visitors for a longer time. And the longer a visitor stays on my site, the more likely they are to purchase something. I originally thought that the service would be too difficult or complicated to use, but really it’s been quite easy to get into. It’s totally worth it– especially since using ClickTale eliminates the need for costly usability labs whose results are not nearly as accurate as what I get from the ClickTale service.
I’ve never considered myself much of a movie buff, but this ClickTale thing has got me hooked. Weird thing is, there’s no pretty faces to watch. Only a bunch of anonymous users on my site. Still, I’m hooked. I use ClickTale to track the actions of repeat visitors to my site. I can then gear my site contents to best cater to their needs. I don’t know of any other service that gives me quite the same insights into my site as what ClickTale offers me. For instance, I’ve added a lot of new search terms to my engine’s vocabulary now that I know how my clients tend to conduct searches. My site’s also better organized. I’ve been complimented on it, even. So it’s not exactly exciting, edge-of-your-seat viewing, but it works for me. Pass the popcorn, will you?

Thanks for posting such an extensive list of Web Analytics services to select from. I was researching these since I am so out-of-date with the current web analytics service I’m using for tracking. My current one is so limited and I didn’t realize just how much valuable data I was losing about my visitors, especially in regards to my natural search engine visitors and PPC keyword campaigns. I’ll be sure to check out your recommendations. I’m leaning toward the ClickTale Web Analytic service, the visitor movie seems like an excellent feature as does the ease of set up. I’m not a very techie person so I like the idea of just inserting the code on my webpages verses installing and configuring software on my server. Great job, thanks again for the info.
@Ashley: Thanks for the kind words Ashley. I personally love Clicktale Analytics for my sites.
@Miss L.: Thankyou for the kind words Miss. Clicktale video recordings are awesome. I did miss out on mentioning the Heat Maps, heat maps are good to find out, where are your visitors spending most of their time and what part of page they like the most.
Very good list of top web analytic services. Just the video below Clicktale takes quite long time to load. Would be great if you can get rid of that video altogether. Apart from the Clicktale video, I got good information about web analytics after reading this top ten list.
Good job!
Yep, no doubts Clicktale offers the best web analytic system. I have always enjoyed the video sessions and the heat maps. It gives you a lot of information about what visitors and users are doing on your website and which pages they like visiting the most. Very good web analytics comparison article, thanks for putting up the list.
Mr. Chan
First of all I wanted to thank you for this comparison. I am a little new in the Webmasters world. Was looking some place in the internet where web masters being helped, but after searching for some real time Statistic program or some live click tracking software I landed here on toptenservices.net. After reading the whole article …. Now what should I say …… It’s EXCELLENT.
I didn’t even new all these analytics and tracking systems before. There are many programs and services available, but which is the best analysis program? I wanted always to know. I knew only the Statcounter and the Google Analytics till now, but in future I can test a few more of them.
After reading the whole test I think I will give next chance to Yahoo websites analysis system or the Clicktale web analysis program (clicktale looks like the most promising program to me from all of them). Which is the best one, I will let you know after testing them.
Yahoo Web Analytics is not that mature .. it is still too new. Clicktale definitely rules out on comparing web analytics programs and services. Clicktale offers a lot of options, user session videos, customized panels, customized dashboard, in-depth user details, in depth analysis options, HEATMAPS and a lot of other things that makes it unique. I just received an email from Clicktale featuring a few more options they added. I’m a Big time clicktale fan!

Clicktale is definitely the best web analytics service of 2009! The heatmap option and visitor activity videos are simply awesome! You can generate a lot of reports in the admin panel and simply concentrate on those parts of your website where visitors are spending most of their time. All you need to do is setup reports in the dashboard, generate heatmap reports and figure out where visitors like to visit the most on your website. Place links to your best products and count sales! Excellent service from their technical support. They are all about helping out their customers. I generally don’t write reviews, but Clicktale is such an exception that I couldn’t resist and have to say, they have exceeded my expectations! I’m one happy camper and proud to have Clicktale on my business website.
Isn’t Google analytics supposed to be the best? Most of all it is free, then why not use it?
Google analytics sucks as compared to other analytics services, specially when compared to Clicktale. you haven’t actually used Clicktale and thats why u don’t know how it can benefit you. Use it for one month. Take my recommendation/advice, and try it before you go comparing google analytics with Clicktale or other web analytics services.
Yeap .. try it and then talk about the comparisons. Google analytics provides very few options, just like other free services. Even statcounter is better than google analytics in my opinion. Clicktale is definitely the best analytics service. If you are doing some serious business and focusing on funneling down your visitors, you need something robust that can highlight opportunities, Clicktale is the best. I’m not saying this out of blues, I have experienced a lot of analytics service providers. Just my 2 cents ..

Good web analytics reviews and I have tried most of them. I’m also using the Clicktale site analytics widely for all of my websites. I normally get asked by my clients – which is the best web site analytics service?
I always raise my thumb for Clicktale and recommend them to signup with Clicktale.
I purchased a very interesting and useful web analytics book around six months ago and it gave me deep insight of what web analytics services can do for you as a webmaster. Then I tried free services like statcounter, google analytics and other such services which are good for nothing. Even I can run a site like that and then just sit back, let customers click on my adsense ads. Whats the fun .. Then I tried Clicktale site analytics and compared the services offered with my web analytics book and really I was happy to see that Clicktale has done a great job in making things so easy for webmasters. I don’t know what my business would do without Clicktale analytics, it is simply the best!
hi i’m honeywell and running Clicktale analytics on my site and really love the service. very good review and so is Clicktale service.
If you are running a serious business, your real capital should be the analytics service and other web site monitoring services. Without understanding what your visitors are doing on your website, you can’t do much to convert them to customers. So, there is no harm in investing a little on purchasing a good web analytics service.

Can’t agree enough, Clicktale is definitely the best business analytics service. We use it for our main website that has over 5 million hits a month and we need some really good business analytics service to compile reports of visitors. Clicktale’s features are unique and they constantly improve their service to add more features. Great work Clicktale, you rock!
hey guys, this is zellweger and using Clicktale analytics for my business portal. Clicktale offers the best services for business analytics to increase sales and profits.
I am extremely impressed by the list of the analytics services provided here. Though I was sticking to google analytics for so long, now I tend to change my viewpoint towards Clicktale after reading their review over here. Marketing is all about conversion and in order to succeed in doing so, you need to understand psychological triggering. For that, a detailed customer analytics study is more than essential.
Here is a cool voting list of the best website analytics and you can vote on your favorite analytics service. I voted for Clicktale because I think it deserves my 2 cents.
