Sorry to know about the computer problems. I can understand how frustrating it gets when computers don’t work as desired.
We are currently testing the top ten antivirus 2012 and ESET Internet Security will be taking the top spots. The reason, ESET is continuously working to improve their security software and they heavily test their software on different computer systems and on different operating systems.
I understand, your computer tech advised you to install McAfee, however, the only reason I do not recommend McAfee: it makes a computer system very slow.
If you wish to enjoy working on your computer, go with ESET Internet Security or BitDefender Internet Security software.

I had been using PC Doctor /Tools before,somehow my computer got infected and my daughter gave me a new Dell 64 bit. I still had over 8 months of my subscription of PC so I tried to install it, did not work, cost me over $150 to get the new PC working (currently without antivirus). The techs told me that PC Dr/Tools was junkie and I should be using McAvee??? You are saying PC is one of thebest? Who do I believe? Or, maybe PC doesn’t work with Windows 7, on a 64 bit PC? I really need to have protection, but don’t know what to choose and don’t want to end up with the problem that never really got resolved from this past fall…help.

Actually, recently I’ve found another way to speed up my poor PC, the software “tuneup360″. It’s very easy to handle and of course very powerful, my friends and I all use it now, maybe you can have a try.

I was using kaspersky internet security 2010 and kaspersky internet security 2011 was introduced and i upgraded to it…im really regreting about the upgrade nw.the kis 2011 that i installed cannot be uninstalled and it is very slow.it is making my laptop very slow when the windows is starting up…kis 2011 is useless and making me frustrated and hating the software…so dont waste ur time and money by buying kaspersky 2011…

I have been using CA ISS 2009 with resonable amount of satisfaction. Off late I have downloaded, Microsoft Security essentials. It has not apparantely caused any conflicts though Microsoft Security essentials removed a serious threat of VB.Inject.exe. I have also downloaded a paid version of PC Tools Registry mechanic. My system seems to be running better now. Your views please. Also my CA ISS is due for renewal in August 2010. Shall I replace it with PC Tools security suite as you have rated it higher than CA. Shall look forward to your considered advice. Thanks

May i know why avira and avast where not included in the review? I used both software and they seem ok. Can you also come up with a detailed review for both for comparison with the others. Appreciate reply. thanks.

Hi Fahad,
I’m not sure why the Author didn’t include McAfee, there has to be some reason. I personally, have never used McAfee antivirus, so can’t say whats wrong with it. May be, you can write a review of McAfee and let everyone know what you think about it. Feel free to register and share your thoughts.

wow!!! thats why i like to visit here!! alot of testimonies!
for me?i like most of it,i also like avira!it identifies hacker! i also used ESET 4 last month, but IT CANT EVEN REMOVE A RECYCLER!& trojan backdoor.exe, so i shifted to BIT DEFENDER! THE BEST! it hit any joints of the virus!hehe so let me try the trend micro..is it good?or PC tools?
